Small Firms: Supporting small business and the economy
Domestic demand remains a worry for the SME community.
There are around 200,000 small businesses in Ireland today that are not only serving the home market, but delivering more than 650,000 jobs across a wide spectrum of sectors in the process.
While the Irish economy remains on track to grow this year, the recovery, albeit fragile, is largely down to the revitalisation of exports. The weakness of the domestic economy remains a concern for the small business community today.
