Sly Bailey, the chief executive of the Trinity Mirror publishing group, has resigned.

Sly Bailey has resigned

Sly Bailey, the chief executive of the Trinity Mirror publishing group, has resigned.

The company said she gave her notice today and was expected to leave at the end of the year. She has been chief executive for ten years.

The Financial Times had reported earlier that leading shareholders in Trinity Mirror were pressing the board to reduce Bailey's stg£1.7 million pay package.
