Skylon Hotel expansion gets go-ahead

Brothers Brian and Sean McEniff have been granted planning permission to add 47 new bedrooms to the Skylon Hotel in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

Brothers Brian and Sean McEniff have been granted planning permission to add 47 new bedrooms to the Skylon Hotel in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

The plan will increase the number of bedrooms by more than 50 per cent - at present there are 88 bedrooms in the hotel, which the McEniffs bought from the Jurys Doyle hotel group in 2002.The pair paid a combined €14 million for the Skylon and the Jurys Waterford Hotel.
