Sinn Fein leader gets Assembly pension on top of Dail salary

Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams is claiming a pension from the Northern Assembly on top of his €87,000 Dail salary.

Adams served as a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for the Belfast West constituency for almost 12 years, although it was suspended for five years during this period. He retired in December 2010 when he announced his decision to run for a Dail seat. Sinn Fein could not be contacted for comment ...
