Sing out sisters: Limerick kids go on musical voyage

Limerick-based project Sing Out with Strings will this week perform Oceans, Adventures and New Worlds, which celebrates the voyager, St Brendan the Navigator.

Sing out with Strings will perform at the Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick, this Wednesday.

Limerick-based project Sing Out with Strings will this week perform Oceans, Adventures and New Worlds, which celebrates the voyager, St Brendan the Navigator. The children of three schools have composed sea shanties and ballads for the performance.

Sing Out with Strings is the Irish Chamber Orchestra's education project and involves staff and 300 children coming into school at 8am for string classes, and staying after school for orchestra rehearsals.
