Short films for shortest day of year

Tuesday is the shortest day of the year and, to mark the occasion, a two-hour programme of short films will be shown at UGC Cinemas on Parnell Street in Dublin on the day.

Tuesday is the shortest day of the year and, to mark the occasion, a two-hour programme of short films will be shown at UGC Cinemas on Parnell Street in Dublin on the day.

The programme, called Short Screen, is being run in conjunction with UGC Cinemas, the Irish Film Board and Network Irish Television.

It comprises 12 short Irish films that will be shown back-to-back. Each two-hour screening will be repeated five times during the day.
