Medical consultant Joseph Sheehan is set to acquire loans related to the Blackrock Clinic from the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC), giving him significant control over the private hospital.

*The Sunday Business Post* has learned that Sheehan has been backed by a US hedge fund in his bid to buy the debt associated with the hospital he co-founded with his brother, Jimmy, in 1984.
