Shatter not for turning in legal spat

Justice minister Alan Shatter plans to re-introduce a controversial aspect of the legal service reform bill in the New Year - which would allow for new types of business partnerships.

Justice minister Alan Shatter plans to re-introduce a controversial aspect of the legal service reform bill in the New Year - which would allow for new types of business partnerships. It was this proposal which sparked a row between Shatter and Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore last week, and was not approved at Cabinet. The move will likely trigger renewed hostilities between the two.
