Shares rise at Kenmare Resources on record profits

UPDATE: Mining company Kenmare Resources has reported a rise in revenues of $167.5 million in 2011, compared to $91.6 million the year before.

Shares at mining company Kenmare Resources have risen almost 2.5 per cent after it reported record profits for 2011.

The Irish company, which operates the Moma mine in Mozambique, said profit after tax rose to $23.7 million for 2011, compared to $16.3 million in 2010. The company reported a rise in revenues of $167.5 million in 2011, compared to $91.6 million the year before.
