Irish shares started trading amid ongoing uncertainty globally over the debt crisis in the eurozone.

The ISEQ index of Irish shares was down 22.77 points, or nearly one per cent, at 2474.46 in early trade.

Share prices slipped across Europe as uncertainty over Greece's stability continued to take its toll.
