Share report: Stocks steady as investors await Fed decision

European stocks were little changed on Wednesday as investors awaited a US Federal Reserve monetary-policy decision and violence continued in Iraq.

European stocks were little changed on Wednesday as investors awaited a US Federal Reserve monetary-policy decision and violence continued in Iraq.

Over 60 per cent of 58 economists in a Bloomberg survey predicted that the Fed will halt bond buying at its October meeting.

The Fed will release a new set of quarterly forecasts as the meeting ends after the close of European markets today.
