European stocks were little changed on Thursday as data showed the US economy contracted for the first time since 2011.
The Stoxx Europe 600 Index added less than 0.1 per cent by the close of trading. The European benchmark index has gained 2 per cent in May as European Central Bank President Mario Draghi indicated that the bank would act to ease monetary policy after its June meeting next week, if necessary.
