Share report: Stocks drop on German confidence data

European stocks dropped for a third consecutive day as German business confidence dropped to its lowest level this year.

European stocks dropped for a third consecutive day as German business confidence dropped to its lowest level this year.

The Munich-based Ifo institute’s business climate index fell to 109.7 in June from 110.4 in May. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg had expected a smaller drop to 110.3.

The Stoxx Europe 600 Index lost 0.2 per cent by the close of trading.
