Europe's share markets drifted lower ahead of a debate on the fiscal cliff in the US.

Europe's share markets drifted lower ahead of an expected debate on the fiscal cliff in the US.

The ISEQ was down 0.12 per cent at 11.40 am. The Euro Stoxx dropped by 0.4 per cent. The FTSE fell 0.5 per cent.

Traders said attention was fixed on President Barack Obama's talks with Republicans later today.
