Share report: markets rise ahead of US reports

Most European stocks climbed as investors awaited reports that may show the US economic recovery is gathering pace following the harsh winter.

Most European stocks climbed as investors awaited payroll and factory order reports that may show the US economic recovery is gathering pace following the harsh winter.

In Dublin, the Iseq index was up 0.2 per cent, with AIB leading the index upwards, rising 2.7 per cent.

London’s FTSE was also up 0.2 per cent, as was the DAX in Frankfurt, while the CAC was up 0.1 per cent.
