European shares opened modestly lower today with attention focused on a monthly US jobs report due later today.

The ISEQ was down 1.69 points at 3,212.98 in early trade, amid drops by Fyffes, CRH amd Kenmare Resources.

The Euro Stoxx was down 0.4 per cent; the FTSE was down 0.14 per cent and the DAX fell 0.2 per cent.
