The World Bank has cut its East Asian growth forecast.

European shares recorded their biggest drop this month as the World Bank cut its East Asian growth forecast and investors awaited the outcome of a meeting of euro zone finance ministers later today.

The meeting in Luxembourg is expected to discuss the situation in Spain and closer banking co-operation.
