European stocks rose, with the Stoxx Europe 600 Index climbing for a sixth day, after US jobless claims dropped more than forecast and as markets reopen after the Christmas holiday.
In Dublin, the Iseq index was up 1 per cent. In London, the FTSE was up 0.5 per cent, while in Frankfurt the DAX was up 0.7 per cent. The CAC in Paris rose 0.6 per cent.
