Share report: Markets close low, Ukraine tensions rising

European markets closed low on Tuesday for a second day as the US and Russia continued to trade accusations of provoking further unrest in eastern Ukraine.

European markets closed low on Tuesday for a second day as the United States and Russia continued to trade accusations of provoking further unrest in eastern Ukraine.

The Iseq fell to its lowest point today (-2.32 per cent) at about 15:50 p.m, but was in the red by 1.3 per cent by the time the markets closed.

In London, the FTSE index was down 0.5 per cent, while in France, the CAC was down 0.25 per cent.
