Share report: markets await US debt outcome

European stocks closed little changed at the highest level in almost two weeks as investors awaited developments in talks on raising the US debt limit and restoring government operations.

European stocks closed little changed at the highest level in almost two weeks as investors awaited developments in talks on raising the US debt limit and restoring government operations.

In Dublin, the Iseq index was up 0.3 per cent, as was London’s FTSE. Frankfurt’s DAX index was unchanged and the CAC in Paris was up 0.1 per cent.
