Share report: Iseq up 0.2%

European stocks rose as major companies posted earnings that topped estimates and the Federal Reserve began a two-day policy meeting.

European stocks rose as major companies posted earnings that topped estimates and the Federal Reserve began a two-day policy meeting.

In Dublin, the Iseq index was up 0.2 per cent, while in London the FTSE was up 0.2 per cent. In Paris, the CAC was up 0.5 per cent and in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.2 per cent.

US stocks also climbed, with the Dow Jones down 0.1 per cent and the Nasdaq up 0.6 per cent.
