ISEQ gains; most markets stalled

Dublin’s ISEQ share index rose 0.6 per cent while most markets were stalled amid ongoing gridlock on US budget negotiations.

The Euro Stoxx index was up 0.1 per cent; the FTSE fell 0.05 per cent and the DAX and CAC were barely changed.

News of better than expected growth in the US economy failed to lift US share prices, with the Dow Jones static at the close of European trading.
