Dublin’s Iseq index surged 1.1 per cent after European stocks advanced, as investors awaited US manufacturing data.
AIB, Kingspan, CRH and Green REIT were all up more than 1 per cent, while Aer Lingus, Smurfit Kappa and Bank of Ireland rose more than 2 per cent.
Elsewhere, London’s FTSE rose 0.4 per cent and the DAX in Frankfurt was up 0.5 per cent. In Paris, the CAC rose 0.7 per cent.
