European shares advanced for a second day as investors awaited the Federal Reserve’s decision on US monetary policy.
In Dublin, the ISEQ index ended the day at 3,211.31, up one per cent. CRH, up 2.3 per cent.
In London, the FTSE was up 0.2 per cent, despite figures showing Britain entered its first double-dip recession since 1975.
