European shares followed Asian markets higher as investor sentiment was boosted by data showing Chinese manufacturing expanded last month.

Chinese manufacturing data boosts investors sentiment

European shares climbed as investor sentiment was boosted by data showing Chinese manufacturing expanded last month. Markets were also lifted by the offer of Greece to spend €10 billion buying back bonds.

London's FTSE rose 0.1 per cent, while in Paris the CAC was up 0.3 per cent. In Frankfurt, the DAX was up 0.4 per cent. But in Dublin the ISEQ fell slightly.
