Share report: ISEQ ends marginally ahead

Share markets in the US and Europe gained after a strong report on US housing starts and after Moody’s Investors Service kept its investment-grade debt rating on Spain.

In Dublin, the ISEQ index was little changed

Share markets in the US and Europe gained after a strong report on US housing starts and after Moody’s Investors Service kept its investment-grade debt rating on Spain.

Dublin's ISEQ index underperformed amid a generally upward trend, closing with a marginal gain of 0.07 per cent.

In London, the FTSE index was up 0.7 per cent, the DAX rose 0.3 per cent and the CAC rose 0.8 per cent.
