Share report: ISEQ closes up 0.5%

Irish shares ended higher amid hopes for a successful Greek debt swap tomorrow and after positive news on US employment

ISEQ up 0.5%

Irish shares rose today amid hopes Greek's sovereign debt swap will proceed as planned tomorrow and after good news on US employment.

In Dublin, the ISEQ index closed at 3,148.63, up 0.5 per cent on the day.

Paddy Power shares led the advance after reporting good earnings earlier this week, to close at at an annual high of €48.15, up 5.25 per cent.
