It was a quiet day for trading as most major European markets remained closed for the May Day public holiday.

It was a quiet day for trading as most major European markets remained closed for the May Day public holiday.

In Dublin and London, trading was open as usual. The Iseq index was up 0.06 per cent at closing, while London’s FTSE 100 was up 0.43 per cent.
