European shares rose to the highest level in three weeks as German economic sentiment improved more than forecast.

In Dublin, the Iseq index was up 0.6 per cent. London’s FTSE rose 1 per cent, while in Frankfurt, the DAX was up 1.6 per cent. The CAC in Paris was up 1.9 per cent.
