Share report: European markets hold highs

European stocks held up close to a five-year high with Dublin's ISEQ up 0.8 per cent in the afternoon.

European shares hit a five year high today.

European stocks traded close to their five-year high in the afternoon, with Dublin’s Iseq index rising 0.8 per cent per cent.

Most US shares traded higher with the S&P index up 0.3 per cent.

Ryanair’s share price further recovered, up 1.8 per cent in Dublin a short time ago. The company announced that it had bought back ten million shares.
