European shares rose to their highest level in more than five years as companies from Eni to Volkswagen posted profit that exceeded estimates.
European shares rose to their highest level in more than five years as companies from Eni to Volkswagen posted profit that exceeded estimates. US stock-index futures and Asian shares also gained.
In Dublin, the ISEQ index was up 0.5 per cent. London’s FTSE rose 0.4 per cent, while the DAX in Frankfurt was up 0.3 per cent. In Paris, the CAC rose 0.5 per cent.
