Sherry FitzGerald McMahon is guiding €2 million for the Crossroads Tavern in Drumgeely, Shannon, Co Clare, which will be auctioned on September 22. Despite having a population of 10,000, Shannon has only two pubs, although licences are also held by three local hotels and two sports clubs.

The Crossroads is located in the neighbourhood shopping centre that originally served as a town centre for Shannon in the 1960s, when it was owned and run by Guinness.
