The Shannon Foynes Port Company (SFPC) has settled a legal dispute which has resulted in the departure of its chief executive, and the company issuing a letter of apology to a businessman who made allegations against him.
Brian Byrne, who was chief executive of the firm, had been suspended on full pay for the past year, after allegations were made against him and Morgan Leahy, a non-executive director of the firm, by haulier Brian Cosgrave.
