Shannon Development will be restructured in preparation for the merger with Shannon Airport Authority (SAA) by the end of next month.

Shannon Development will be restructured in preparation for the merger with Shannon Airport Authority (SAA) by the end of next month, with almost 30 tourism staff set to transfer from Shannon to Fáilte Ireland this week.

SAA appointed Neil Pakey, the former managing director of Liverpool John Lennon Airport, as chief executive officer last week, and he will take up his new position next month.
