Shannon-based firms offered relocation

At least three sizeable companies in the Shannon region have been approached by overseas industrial development authorities to see if they are interested in relocating abroad because of the likely loss of the Shannon-Heathrow air link.

At least three sizeable companies in the Shannon region have been approached by overseas industrial development authorities to see if they are interested in relocating abroad because of the likely loss of the Shannon-Heathrow air link.

One is a technology company that employs more than 200 people, and the other two are manufacturing companies which employ hundreds more between them. The industrial development authorities who approached them are based in Germany, France and Britain.
