Irish broadcaster Setanta Sports is close to finalising a fund-raising deal worth hundreds of millions of euro with a major private-equity firm.
The Irish sports rights and television group is in talks with three private equity investors and is likely to raise at least €300 million. It will use the money to fund an expansion plan, including its British Premiership coverage from next year.
