Services sector activity rises 5.1% in past year

Activity in the Irish services sector rose in the year to the end of August, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office.

Activity in the Irish services sector rose in the year to the end of August, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office.

The seasonally adjusted monthly services value index decreased by 1.5 per cent in August 2014 when compared with July 2014. But in the year to August 2014 there was an increase of 5.1 per cent, said the CSO.
