Services activity fell during May - CSO

A gauge of activity in the services sector fell during May, according to the CSO.

Monthly Services decreased by 0.7% in May 2013, according to the CSO.

A gauge of activity in the services sector fell during May, according to the CSO.

The seasonally adjusted monthly services value index decreased by 0.7 per cent in May 2013 when compared with April 2013 and there was an annual increase of 0.7 per cent, the CSO said.

The transportation and storage sector showed an increase of 1.5 per cent, while the wholesale and retail trade was up 1.3 per cent. Administrative and support service activities were up 0.6 per cent.
