Senior barrister is ordered to pay invoice discounting firm €105,000

An invoice discounting company which bought fee notes from a senior barrister for €320,000 has been granted judgment for €105,000 after one of the fees was not paid.

An invoice discounting company which bought fee notes from a senior barrister for €320,000 has been granted judgment for €105,000 after one of the fees was not paid.

Senior counsel Brendan Kilty, 52, of Castle Park Road, Sandycove, Dublin, sold fee notes for a total of €319,237 to Celtic Invoice Discounting, of Mulgrave Street, Dun Laoghaire, between February and August 2008.
