Academia can no longer afford to ignore the sales function - if there are no sales, there's no growth, writes Gareth Naughton.
We are repeatedly told that exporting will be key to restoring the Irish economy, but without the requisite sales skills we risk falling behind the curve when overseas sales begin to lift.
