Medtech is one of Ireland's fastest growing sectors, with last year's €7.9 billion export figures representing a 10 per cent rise on 2011. More than 95 per cent of the sector's output is exported.

Skilled sales people are absolutely vital if this success is to continue, but medtech is facing a shortage in suitable personnel. To tackle the issue, the Irish Medical Devices Association (IMDA) has developed a one-year sales and marketing diploma.
