Some strategic sellers deliberately list their properties with very little intention of a sale, writes Carol Tallon.

It is fair to say that the property market can be a tough place at any time, and particularly in the current distorted marketplace. Both buyers and sellers are facing a series of challenges at the moment - buyers are competing for available finance and sellers are competing for finance-ready buyers. Both are finding their efforts frustrated by sellers in the marketplace who really should not be there.
