Security Watch: Data danger not going anywhere

When data is on the move it's also at risk, though some companies still don't treat the threat as seriously as they should. JJ Worrall reports.

Walk into any hotel lobby or restaurant around the country each day and there will be morning, brunch, lunch and late afternoon meetings going on. Some casual, some business-critical, but quite often all hooked into the local wifi network.

However, experts in mobile security have warned that while plenty of deals may be struck during those meetings, reams of sensitive data is being put at risk on the mobile devices of those present.
