Security: Reboots causing security issues

When companies decide to build a new site or reboot their old one, security is often low on the list of priorities, writes JJ Worrall.

Many Irish companies are leaving security as a secondary concern when building a new website or rebooting their online presence, according to several security experts who spoke to *Computers in Business*.

Vivienne Mee, managing director at Rits Computer Forensics, said that in the case of website reboots, in particular, she had seen numerous instances when "backdoors" into a company's network were been left open to web-borne threats.
