Second half recovery in Ireland boosts UTV

UTV Media posted a 4 per cent fall in group revenue of £107.8 million, as the company recovered some ground after a difficult market conditions in the first six months of 2013.

An improving macro-economic environment led to growth in the second half, particularly in Ireland.

UTV Media posted a 4 per cent fall in group revenue of £107.8 million, as the company recovered some ground after a difficult market conditions in the first six months of 2013.

The media company said that following an 11 per cent fall in the first half of the year, revenue rose 3 per cent. Pre-tax profits at the company were £16.9 million, down from £20.1 million in 2012.
