Scouts to invest €10m in centre

Scouting Ireland plans to invest €10 million in a camping and outdoor activity centre on a 103-acre estate in Co Cavan.

The organisation has been granted planning permission by Cavan County Council to develop the lands surrounding Castle Saunderson, which is on the border with Fermanagh. Work on the site will start in the spring with the centre due to open in the summer of 2007.
