Savings and Investments: Banks' future still looks uncertain
Michael Hewson, senior market analyst at CMC Markets, predicts that the banking sector will remain depressed in 2012.
Concerns about European banks' exposure to sovereign debt, as well as requirements to raise additional capital in line with Basel 3, have seen investors increasingly shun the banking sector over the past 12 months.
