SAS Group reached a deal with Dublin-based CityJet that will see the Scandinavian Airlines parent outsource more of its regional flying operations to focus on boosting margins at its mainline business.

Under the accord, CityJet, best known for its flights at London City airport, will operate and crew eight new Bombardier 90-seat CRJ900 jets on behalf of SAS while also acquiring the Stockholm-based company’s Blue1 arm, which previously provided regional services.
