Time is almost up for the last serious rival to Mitt Romney in the battle for the Republican Party's presidential nomination.
Rick Santorum, the ultra-conservative former senator from Pennsylvania, has won several primaries and proved to be a persistent thorn in Romney's side. But following last week's triple win for Romney in Maryland, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia, it is increasingly difficult to argue that Santorum has any credible chance of victory.
