Sail of the century

Hitching your star to a luxury catamaran and lazily enjoying the myriad islands of the Thai coast is the perfect way to unwind, writes Róisín Finlay.

The warm salt water gently washes away the fug of sleep from a close tropical night. Donning snorkels and masks we each float off in our own private world, mesmerised by the glowing liquid life busying itself in the world below us.

This underwater universe is awash with colour, and we spot everything from black and white spotted Andaman sweetlips to blue and orange neon damsels. Vast shoals of tiny, silvery fish have moving borders...
